Nyree Jane Taylor
Artistic Director / Chair, GSACA Creative and Performer
Nyree brings deep passion and rich experience to her role as Artistic Director and Chair of GSAC. With a lifelong commitment to the arts, she has worked in the creative industries since her late teens, contributing to grassroots projects across Western Australia and internationally, including in New York, Tokyo, and with the Perth international Festival.
Nyree is a practising visual artist with a strong belief in the power of the arts as a tool for building connected, thriving communities. Her skills in event management and creative workshop programming have been instrumental in fostering inclusive, joyful experiences across sectors. She champions creativity as a force for unity, wellness, and positive change.

Meet Lisa Sinclair – businesswoman, farmer, and now our fabulous new Secretary! In partnership with her husband Brad, she co-runs Moon River – a beautiful blend of hard work, heart, and harvest.
Known as the Minister for Food and Finance, Lisa is famous for her fantabulous homemade pâté (always made with love) and her gift for making people feel like they truly belong. A village lover through and through, we’re thrilled to welcome this L-plate Nannie into our fold. Get ready for warmth, wisdom, and a whole lot of goodness!

Coordinator – Board Member
I am a fun loving organiser of many things, children – family, community and friends. I love being creative with events, food, my home and my general life. I have a passion for bringing people together and enjoying life.
Tracey Cooke
Board Member
Tracey has more than 10 years’ experience in the media industry, specialising in business
journalism, and has worked for The West Australian, Financial Times Business in London and WA
Business News. She currently manages and writes a monthly newsletter for Iluka Resources – Cataby, and is Director of Dandaragan Organic Beef, which produces and markets wholesale and direct-to-consumer organic beef and lamb in the WA and interstate markets.
As owner-manager, Tracey looks after the business, finance and marketing arm of Dandaragan Organic Beef,
Rachel Walmsley
Community Garden Extraordinaire – Board Member
Rachel Walmsley is a dedicated environmentalist with a lifelong commitment to green practices.
With 6 years of experience in waste management and an additional 16 years devoted to community
landcare, Rachel has become a seasoned expert in sustainable practices and community
engagement. Known for her creativity, tenacity, and fun-loving spirit, Rachel brings a unique and vibrant energy
to GSAC.

What is our purpose?
To create a shared arts space, adding to regional education, business and enhancing the attractiveness of Moora as a place to live and work.
What will we do?
The Gardiner Street Arts Collective building will be an inclusive, shared space, welcoming all members of the Moora community and beyond.
We see Gardiner Street Arts Collective being an organisation which embraces existing groups and provides a home for all.
Potential users of our space include
(but are not limited to):
Visiting artists in residence, ballet lessons, dance classes, dance school rehearsals through Miss Roxanne’s Dance Workshop, mental health and well-being through the arts, adult and children creative workshops, music lessons through the Moora School of Music, art workshops – promoting inter generational experiences, arts and creative writing workshops, art exhibitions, gallery space.
Benefits to the community
Assists in re-branding Moora as not only a vibrant and successful farming community but one of diverse inclusion and artistic endeavors visible to the outside community
Enhances inclusion and valuing of the hidden talent within our community
Maintains and builds upon one of Moora’s beautiful buildings; already imbued with a fine reputation from the previous cafe ownership.
Maintenance of a vibrant streetscape in a country town
Arts enhance the quality of life in a community and models opportunities for youth
Visitors interact with the community providing depth and colour.
Tourist attraction as well as casual visitors staying to attend workshops, visit gallery and retail
Supports local business by bringing people into the Moora CBD
Enhances mental health of all ages
Upskills community
Brings people together
Adds vibrance, interest and vitality essential as a drawcard for employment
Allow future opportunities to link with other communities in an arts trail
